Army recruitment rally from May 20

An Army recruitment rally for Soldier general duty, Soldier technical and Soldier clerk/store keeper technical categories for candidates of Patiala, Sangrur and Fatehgarh Sahib districts is being organised at Nabha (Patiala) by the Branch Recruiting office Patiala from May 20 to 28, 2006. For soldiers technical category candidates from all over Punjab can take part in the rally.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesman said that candidates for all the above said categories must be of 17 ½ to 21 years of age and having 170 cms of height while for soldiers clerk/store keeper technical the height limit was 162 cm and in case of candidates of Kandi Area the height limit for soldier (GD), Soldier (Tech.), soldier GD (Non-Matric) was 163 cms.

While giving the details of education qualification, the spokesman informed that for soldier (GD) the candidates might have done SSLC/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 32% in each subject. For Soldier (tech.) and soldier nursing assistant, the education qualification is 10+2/Intermediate exam passed in science with Physics, Chemistry, Math & English. Similarly, for soldier clerk/ store keeper technical the candidates might have passed 10+2/ Intermediate Examination in any stream i.e. Arts, Commerce & Science with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. Successful Candidates in written examination would be called for aptitude test in typing and computer handling.

The spokesman further said that while taking part in the recruitment rally. Candidates should bring 12 copies of latest passport size photographs, education certificate issued by education department, residence certificate issued by the Tehsildars/SDM, Caste Certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM, Kandi Area certificate, Children of Ex-servicemen their father's discha
