A deputation of farmers from Barnala today called on Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to seek his intervention to immediately withdraw the exorbitant increase in the Registration fee varying from 15% to 200% depending on the location of the land thereby causing a great loss to the buyers.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Capt. Singh assured the deputation that he would soon take up the matter with the Financial Commissioner Revenue to resolve the matter at the earliest. He said that he would also ensure to rationalize and simplify the procedure of registration to mitigate the hardships caused to the people.
