The Punjab Governor, General (Retd.) S.F. Rodrigues, PVSM VSM, administered the oath of office, allegiance to Constitution of India and secrecy to Shri. S.K. Sinha, IAS (Retd.) as Chairman of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) at a brief but impressive ceremony in the Banquet Hall of Punjab Raj Bhavan, here today. He also administered the oath of office, allegiance and secrecy to Brig. D.S. Grewal (Retd.) and Dr. Satwant Singh Mohi as Members of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
Earlier, the Chief Secretary, Shri K.R. Lakhanpal sought the permission of the Governor to start the swearing-in-ceremony. Soon after being sworn in, Mr. S.K. Sinha, Brig. D.S. Grewal (Retd.) and Dr. Satwant Singh Mohi, signed the oath, counter-signed by the Governor.
Mrs. Jean Rodrigues, wife of Punjab Governor, Capt. Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister, Members of Punjab Cabinet, Advisor to Chief Minister and other senior civil and police officers were present. The family members, friends and well-wishers of Mr. Sinha and other two members also attended the ceremony.
