
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh attended morning prayers at the Darbar Sahib, the holiest of Sikh shrines at Amritsar today.
He reached the Darbar Sahib at 6.15 am and walked around the entire parikrama (circumambulance) of the shrine before entering the sanctum sanctorum. He bowed before the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh holy book and sat on the floor to listen to divine gurbani kirtan sung by the raagis at Darbar Sahib.
