Punjab procures 5.89 million MT of wheat

The Punjab government has procured 58,90037 Metric tones (MT) of wheat upto 29th April, 2007 out of which 53,32822 (i.e. 90.5%) of the total wheat arrived in the Mandies of the state was procured by the government agencies only. This was disclosed here today by Mrs. Tejinder Kaur, Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Punjab.
